## McCarthy Reveals Cowboys' QB Rotation For Rush, Lance In Absence Of Dak
### Dak Prescott Injured
Dallas Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy has announced that quarterback Dak Prescott is out indefinitely with a broken thumb suffered in Sunday's loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. McCarthy stated that Cooper Rush will start the team's Week 6 game against the Philadelphia Eagles, with Will Grier serving as his backup.
### Rotation Plan
McCarthy also revealed that the team will implement a quarterback rotation between Rush and backup Will Grier once Prescott returns from injury. Grier is expected to start two games while Rush recovers from a concussion sustained against the Eagles.
"Cooper has earned the right to start," McCarthy said. "He'll be our guy until Dak returns. Will will start two games, and we'll make a decision from there."
### Rush's Performance
Rush has impressed in his limited action as Prescott's backup, completing 66.5% of his passes for 431 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception. He has also rushed for 16 yards and a touchdown.
McCarthy praised Rush's performance, saying that he has "earned the right to start."
### Outlook for Prescott
Prescott is expected to miss at least four weeks with his thumb injury. The Cowboys hope to have him back for their Week 10 matchup against the Green Bay Packers.
In the meantime, the Cowboys will rely on Rush and Grier to lead them through a tough stretch of their schedule. The Cowboys are currently 2-3 and face a challenging upcoming schedule with games against the Eagles, Rams, and Bears on the horizon.
