Ohio State Football Still Can Make The College Football Playoff

Quick guide to the 2022 Ohio State football season - Axios Columbus

Ohio State has two regular season games remaining, both at home:

The Buckeyes are heavy favorites in both contests and are expected to finish the regular season with a 12-1 record.

"Ohio State's chances of making the Playoff are still very much alive," said ESPN analyst Kirk Herbstreit. "If they win their remaining games and get some help, they could be in the mix."

In 2016, Ohio State lost to Michigan but still qualified for the Playoff as the No. 3 seed. The Buckeyes went on to defeat Clemson in the semifinal and advance to the National Championship Game.

While Ohio State's path to the Playoff is not without hurdles, it remains a realistic possibility. The Buckeyes will need to win their remaining games and hope for some favorable outcomes to secure a coveted spot in the final four.
