At the heart of the new iPhones is the A15 Bionic chip, which Apple claims is the fastest smartphone chip ever made. The A15 Bionic features a new 6-core CPU, 4-core GPU, and 16-core Neural Engine. This combination of hardware provides up to 50% faster performance than the A14 Bionic chip in the previous generation of iPhones.

Apple has also made significant improvements to the camera systems on the new iPhones. The iPhone 13 and 13 Mini feature a new dual-lens rear camera system with a 12-megapixel wide-angle lens and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens. The iPhone 13 Pro and 13 Pro Max feature a new triple-lens rear camera system with a 12-megapixel wide-angle lens, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 12-megapixel telephoto lens.

The new iPhones also feature longer battery life than their predecessors. The iPhone 13 and 13 Mini offer up to 2.5 hours longer battery life than the iPhone 12 and 12 Mini, respectively. The iPhone 13 Pro and 13 Pro Max offer up to 3 hours longer battery life than the iPhone 12 Pro and 12 Pro Max, respectively.

In addition to the above improvements, the new iPhones also feature a number of other enhancements, including:

- A new Ceramic Shield front cover, which is more durable than the glass covers on previous iPhones.
- A new MagSafe charging system, which allows for faster wireless charging.
- A new IP68 water and dust resistance rating, which means that the phones can be submerged in up to 6 meters of water for up to 30 minutes.

The iPhone 13 and 13 Mini are available starting at $699 and $599, respectively. The iPhone 13 Pro and 13 Pro Max are available starting at $999 and $1,099, respectively. All four models are available for pre-order starting today and will be available in stores on September 24, 2021.
